Southern Beaches

Macarelleta_edited.jpg

Macarella y Macarelleta

It is the most mythical virgin cove on the island, now it can only be accessed by bus from Ciutadella between June and September, I recommend leaving your car in the free parking at the bus station.

Another possible access is through Cala Galdana, where you can park quietly and then walk there for approximately 30 minutes.

Son Bou

Kilometric beach of white sand and turquoise waters. Recommended to go when there is no south wind. Mandatory walk to Talis beach contemplating the beautiful dunes.

Very good option to spend the entire day with its large number of restaurants and its beautiful sunset.

Binigaus, Santo Tomás

Past Santo Tomás beach is this long, narrow beach, with white sand and crystal clear waters. It is ideal for lovers of nudism. If you continue beyond the rocks you reach some small coves under the cliffs that for me are the jewel of the Island, although you will not see them if there is high tide. It is well worth the walk.

Cala mitjana_edited.jpg

Cala Mitjana

It is one of the jewels of Menorca. It has easy access, a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. It has the typical landscape of southern beaches, with white sand and crystal clear waters. Swimming for five minutes you can see Mitjaneta cove.

Cala en Brut

Platform beach that draws a beautiful natural pool. It has become a favorite for diving and rock jumping. A natural aquarium appears beneath us when we bathe on this beautiful beach.

Cala en Turqueta

Beautiful beach in the south of Menorca that is accessed from Ciudadela. Through a path bordered by the characteristic Menorcan dry wall, we will reach this beach so present in films, advertisements and reports.

Cala en Porter

Urbanized cove, quite touristy but with many attractions, such as the excursion through the caves by kayak or paddle and the famous Coves D'en Xoroi. Many options of bars and restaurants for all tastes.

Son saura_edited.jpg

Son Saura

Beautiful cove to the south, with a large bay and crystal clear waters, busy in high season. From the parking lot you have to pass the first beach that usually has a lot of posidonia to get to Son Saura.

The road by car is narrow but the views are well worth it. It is recommended to go very early in high season as the parking fills up quickly.

Punta Prima

This family beach located just a few minutes from Mahón also offers multiple restaurants and bars that make it a very good option to spend the whole day. From the sand we can see the air island right in front.
